RN - Labor and Delivery


Job Details:


• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week over a 13-week contract
• Weekend rotation required: 2 weekends out of every 4
• Holiday rotation required on an every other basis
• May float to OB, L&D, Med/Surg, ER, or ICU for tasks such as vital signs, answering lights, and completing patient histories - no patient assignments and no isolation rooms in float units
• May also be required to float to other locations in the Southern region as needed
• No on-call or back-up requirements; additional shifts may be available to pick up for sick calls
• Unit consists of 2 labor rooms and 6 post-partum beds (8 beds total) with Level 1 maternity, Level 1 nursery, and post-op GYN patients
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines; nurses cover labor, post-partum, and newborn nursery care
• Average monthly delivery rate is approximately 10 deliveries per month
• Minimum 2 years of OB with Labor and Delivery experience required
• 1 prior travel assignment required
• Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
• Labor and Delivery competency required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP, WI RN license
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN, PALS (AHA or ARC certifications required by facility)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: Any - scrubs provided if going into surgery
• Will not accommodate more than 7 days of requested time off
