Locum Tenens Urology Physician Opportunity
Physician needed for locum tenens coverage in a clinic setting in York, Pennsylvania. The position involves providing clinical only coverage from August 31, 2026, to November 30, 2026, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8a to 5p.
Patient Demographics: Adults (18+)
Patient Volume/Census: 24-28 patients per day
Case Mix: General urology, including cystoscopy, vasectomy, lithotripsy, prostate procedures
EMR System: Epic
Office Equipment Available: Cystoscope and towers, injections
Support Staff Available: RNs: 1, MAs: 4, Office Staff: 1
Reason for Coverage: Ongoing coverage
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, with clean file
Credentialing Timeline: 90 days
Required Procedures: Vasectomy, cystoscopy (in OR), prostate procedures, ureteroscopy (in OR), penile plication, lithotripsy, orchiopexy
Job Requirements:
Licenses: Active PA license or Universal License (IMLC) LOQ
Board: BC or BE in Urology
DEA: Required
Experience: Minimum 1 year
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient urology clinic coverage, Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p
Perform office-based procedures including cystoscopy, stent placements, vasectomy, prostate procedures, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, and orchiopexy
Manage patient volume of approximately 24-28 patients per day, mixing procedures and office visits
Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
