Columbus Equipment Company is offering attractive benefit packages and compelling career tracks to those in search of a position within our company including, but not limited to:Health dental and vision insurance401KVacation and PTOSTD, Life, and Disability InsurancePaid HolidaysTailored TrainingTuition Assistance/ReimbursementSuccession PathwayResponsibilities and DutiesProvides customer with detailed quote with scope of repair.Discusses with customers required service work prior to executing repairs.Follow-up with customers on jobs performed.Maintains a level of satisfaction with customer on service performed and with the work of the personnel under his/her direction.Opens and maintains field workorder files.Works with service admin on getting workorders ready to be processed and closed.Provides necessary assistance to Shop Foreman and service mechanics as needed.Maintains communications with the Service Manager regarding activities of field repair orders.Maintains a high level of morale and work ethic standards for self and service employees under his/her direction.Maintains service fleet, repairs, appearance, safety and cost controls.Collect daily truck inspections.Maintain service truck filesScheduling Field Campaigns to ensure completion in the time frame given by manufacturer.Responsible for maintaining maximum labor efficiency.Assist in obtaining parts and supplies for service repair work in cooperation with the Parts Department.Promotes good customer and employee relations.Reviews, evaluates personnel and makes recommendations. Is completely familiar with labor agreements.Performs other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.Ensures effective employee relations; mentor, coach, train, and develop while instilling and promoting teamwork.Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to manager.Promotes and ensures proper safety and incident reporting procedures are in compliance, conducts investigations, and training.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.All other miscellaneous duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum of five years of related experienceValid Driver's License and a safe driving recordWritten and verbal communication skills, ability to demonstrate and state facts to all contact people.Knowledge of office equipment operation and PC skillsBasic knowledge of administration and supervisionWritten and verbal communication skills, ability to demonstrate and state facts to all contact peoplePhysical RequirementsRequired to use computers and office machinesWork environment is consistent with that of construction equipment yard and repair shopSafety training and PPE is requiredOccasional lifting up to 75 lbs.Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stoopingEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
