Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Florida State or compact license required at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience required No call required Opportunity to float to other units or locations Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed 2 references from authority figures within the last year required Description: This position requires an experienced registered nurse to work in the ICU. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience. The nurse will be expected to manage a patient ratio of 1:2-3. Nurses will float to various units and locations as needed. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required based on unit needs. Flu vaccine is required during the specified flu season, with medical/religious exemptions only. The candidate must hold certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Experience with accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, and care of ventilated patients is essential. Additional skills required include managing central lines, blood product administration, and monitoring dysrhythmias. The work environment will focus on adult and geriatric patient care. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services. A collaborative approach to patient care is emphasized. Continuous learning and adherence to safety protocols are important aspects of this role.
