Infusion RN Sr. - Part Time- Dallas Sammons

Overview Texas Oncology is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Dallas Sammons location. This Part Time position is scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The role is classified as I, II or Sr. depending on experience. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials. Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician. Administer all medications and blood products using correct dosage, route, time, and technique. Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration where applicable. Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, evaluating labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems, and symptom management. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices. Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications Education/Training Level I Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Registered nurse with a current state license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Maintain continuing education requirements. Entry‑level experience: 0–3 years of nursing, oncology experience strongly preferred. Level II Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred. Level Senior In addition to Levels I and II: Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology. Oncology certification preferred. Working Conditions Work involves possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
