Infusion BMT RN Sr.- PRN Weekend- Dallas Medical City

Position Overview Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN weekend coverage (Saturday & Sunday 8:30 am–3:00 pm; occasional weekday shifts). A level I to Senior role based on experience. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material. Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction. Administer all medications/blood products using correct dosage, route, time and technique. Ensure pre‑authorization and consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration when applicable. Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central line catheter devices. Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications Level I Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred. Current RN state license and registration with the State Board of Nursing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 0–3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred. Level II Minimum 3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred. Level Senior Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including at least 1 year in oncology. Oncology certification preferred. Working Conditions Work environment typical of a oncology/hematology clinic; possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.
