Radiation Clinic RN Sr.- Dallas Medical City

Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Dallas Medical City’s Radiation department. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 am–5 pm) with no weekends, call or major holidays. Position level will be RN I, II, or Senior depending on experience. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material. Provide psychosocial support to patients and families. Facilitate clinical operations and patient care. Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart. Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients. Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart. Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care. Assist patients in locating available community resources. Interprofessional collaboration. Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants. Qualifications Ideal candidates will have the following background and experience: Education / Training Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education (BSN preferred). RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Maintain continuing education requirements. Level I 0–3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred. Level II Minimum 3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred. Level Senior Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology. Oncology certification preferred.
