Overview

Cleveland Clinic’s Neurological Institute is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Director of Research to lead and expand research initiatives at the Sleep Disorder Center. The role focuses on advancing understanding and treatment of sleep disorders within an academic and clinical environment.

Qualifications

• MD, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree.
• Research experience in sleep medicine with a demonstrated record of successful research and leadership.
• Passion for advancing sleep medicine and a clear strategic vision.
• Ability to guide research priorities by integrating clinical practice or research knowledge of sleep disorders.
• Eligibility for appointment as an associate or full professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University in accordance with academic achievements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic research vision for the Sleep Disorder Center.
• Lead and mentor a talented research team at the main campus and collaborate with investigators across Cleveland Clinic.
• Engage with NIH‑funded projects, clinical and investigator‑initiated trials focused on sleep disorders and their comorbidities.
• Conduct translational research targeting conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, and circadian rhythm disturbances.
• Collaborate with center and institute leadership to leverage Cleveland Clinic’s resources.
