Canopy by Hilton, a beautiful modern boutique hotel located in downtown Grand Rapids, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and guest-focused individual to join our team as a part-time Night Auditor. In this role, you will assist with overnight audits, hotel guest services, and overnight valet operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a quiet, independent work environment and enjoys delivering top-tier guest service.Job Summary:Responsible for serving guests at the front desk while providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.Essential Job Functions:Perform guest registrations (check ins & check outs), room assignments, and special requestsKnowledge of daily hotel operations, policies, procedures, and internal rulesKnowledge of Brand's operating systems and Brand's customer loyalty programsKnowledge of guest rooms, locations, amenities, features, and all other services offeredKnowledge of room rates, packages, discounts, and promotionsEnsure proper credit when checking out guest(s) and handle late charges accordinglyKnowledge of cash handling and bank procedures to check out all guest(s)Bank out at end of shift by following drop proceduresEmail daily reports to accounting officeAnswer phones, handle mail, and take messagesAssist guests with problems and questions; ensure all guest problems are resolvedKnowledge of the city, local area, and attractionsUtilize spare time for cleaning (i.e. front desk, back office, common areas) and maintaining sidewalks and front entryKnow all emergency procedures and the proper action to takeOperate safe deposit boxesInspect conference rooms, common areas and public restrooms to ensure cleanlinessPerform security walks of hotelInvestigate and address noise/party issuesAssist guests with overnight valet services including parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting with luggage and adhering to all valet operating proceduresOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
