Job Title: Business Development Associate - Corporate Events (Remote)

Location: Remote, Based in Washington DC, Las Vegas, Southern California

Base Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 annually

Summary

The Business Development Associate is responsible for supporting sales initiatives and driving business growth through client acquisition, relationship management, market research, and strategic business development. This role works collaboratively with multiple departments to identify new business opportunities, develop sales strategies, prepare presentations and proposals, and manage multiple projects while delivering exceptional client service. The position reports to the Head of Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the organization's business development strategy by aligning daily activities with established business goals and objectives.
• Conduct market research to identify prospective clients, emerging markets, and new business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to support long-term business growth.
• Maintain accurate client records and activity within the Pipedrive CRM database.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement business growth initiatives and support organizational objectives.
• Develop and implement sales strategies, client retention initiatives, and customer service plans.
• Analyze sales performance data to support marketing strategies and business planning efforts.
• Assist in preparing business plans, sales proposals, presentations, reference materials, and other business development documentation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
• Identify potential strategic partners and new business opportunities.
• Build professional relationships with clients, leadership, and internal teams through effective communication and collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of business development experience within the Event Services or Live Events industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working effectively under pressure.
• Experience using Pipedrive CRM.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Experience using Flex Rental Solutions cloud-based inventory management and rental software.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and all levels of management.
• Professional, friendly, and customer-focused approach.

Preferences

• Previous experience in sales or marketing within the live events, audiovisual, or event production industry.
• Demonstrated consultative sales approach with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Experience preparing sales presentations, business proposals, and strategic business development materials.
• Experience collaborating across multiple departments to execute growth initiatives.
