Registered Nurse Utilization Review

Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with specialties in Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, or Operating Room to perform utilization review duties. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care, case management, and hospice care to individuals facing advancing age, frailty, and serious illness. Key functions include patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. The role requires at least 2 years of nursing experience and an active California RN license. Responsibilities:

• Conduct utilization review and case management activities to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Administer medications and provide skilled nursing care as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including patients, providers, and healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and utilization review findings.
• Support hospice care and manage complex cases involving advancing age and serious illness.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Strong interdisciplinary team collaboration abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and automobile for field work.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, or Operating Room settings.

Special Considerations:

• Must hold a California RN license.
• Laptop, keyboard, and mouse will be provided by the facility.

Scheduling:

• Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM PST.
