Property Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant with a strong background in the real estate industry to join a team in Newtown Square, PA. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial and/or residential properties Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and tenant accounts Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including rent rolls and collections Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned properties Track and report on capital expenditures and tenant improvement projects Work closely with property management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting Support year-end audit processes and tax reporting requirements Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of property accounting experience within the real estate industry (required) Strong understanding of real estate accounting concepts, including CAM reconciliations and lease structures Experience managing a portfolio of properties (commercial, multifamily, or mixed-use preferred) Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work onsite in Newtown Square, PA, five days per week Compensation $80,000.00 per year Benefits Medical, dental, vision coverage PTO on an accrual basis Paid Sick Leave where applicable by State law Equal Opportunity Equal Opportunity Employer, Veterans, Disabled.
