Automation EngineerInsight Global is seeking an Automation Engineer for a leading enterprise client. This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable automation solutions to support infrastructure and database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Ansible, shell scripting, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL. They will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, contributing to automation initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring system reliability. This individual should be a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in both independent and team-based settings.Day-to-Day:Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and Shell scriptingManage and support PostgreSQL/MySQL databasesAutomate system administration and operational processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environmentParticipate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectivesUse Jira for tracking tasks, bugs, and workflow managementTroubleshoot and resolve system, automation, and database-related issuesContinuously improve automation frameworks and operational efficiencyDocument processes, solutions, and system configurationsSkills and Requirements:7+ years of experience in Automation EngineeringStrong hands-on experience with AnsibleStrong Shell scripting skillsExperience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL databasesSolid automation and infrastructure scripting backgroundFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum framework and practicesHands-on experience with Jira (and similar tools like Horizon if applicable)Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly learn new technologies – Experience with Python scriptingExposure to Sybase databasesExperience working in enterprise-scale environmentsAdditional DevOps or automation tooling exposure
