Practice Info Practice Hospital Medicine at a large community academic tertiary trauma referral center. Dedicated advanced practice provider support (7p-7a) and 2 physician admitters (7a-5p and 11a-9p). Epic EMR with dragon dictation. Dedicated swing/nocturnist office space next to the emergency department. Great access to specialists with over 440 providers on medical staff representing 40 specialties. Cover only 1 hospital with 349 acute care beds, admitting medical and surgical adult patients (16 years of age and older), excluding last trimester obstetrical, and providing medical coordination and inpatient management for surgical patients. Responsibilities Work Nocturnist shifts (7p-7a), 7on/7off. Average 8-10 admissions per night. May be needed at NP request for RRTs or code blues. Oversight of Internal Medicine residents required. Provide medical coordination and inpatient management for surgical patients. Compensation Nationally competitive shift-based compensation structures with additional performance bonuses.
