About the Role We are seeking a Housekeeper for the Inn at Perry Cabin, a Forbes 4‑star historical resort located in St.Michaels, Maryland. This role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and hospitality standards that are vital to guest satisfaction, with opportunities to grow into supervisory or management positions. Key Responsibilities Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well. Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness. Keep the work cart orderly and properly stocked. Utilize equipment, supplies, and guest amenities appropriately. Perform thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas. Change and inspect linens and towels daily, following Green Program standards. Practice safety standards, identify hazards (e.g., broken glass, frayed cords, leaks, broken locks, suspicious persons) and report them. Respect guests' property at all times. Maintain responsible care of equipment. Report to work on time according to posted schedules, maintain accurate time records, and follow room issuance standards. Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co‑workers. Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor. Qualifications Housekeeping experience desirable. Neat, pleasant personality. Strong time‑management skills. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Effective communication skills. Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions. Physical capability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach corners on floors and high places; detect odors; navigate carts weighing up to 100lb in tight spaces; operate equipment such as spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
