Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician 5

Job Overview Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician Responsibilities Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. Document and calculate results accurately. Take corrective action when necessary, including alerting personnel, segregating and isolating non‑conforming products, and reporting results to management. Handle additional assignments as requested. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of experience in food manufacturing or related quality assurance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with SAP preferred; ability to complete Tyson paperwork. Strong problem identification and problem‑solving skills; mathematical and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret product specifications and work under stress. Flexibility to work where and when needed; willing to work overtime and weekends (2nd shift). Leadership ability to motivate hourly workforce. Lock Out/Tag Out certification required. Physical Requirements Lift up to 70 lbs (sometimes 50 lbs or more). Stand on hard surface up to 12 hours per day. Operate in cold, hot, or wet environments. Perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, pulling. Reach high and low levels; climb step ladders or stairs.
