Job Summary:

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for providing care to patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, including preparation, intra-procedure, and recovery phases for routine GI procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. The RN delivers direct patient care, administers moderate sedation under physician direction, and collaborates with unit staff to care for outpatient populations. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as ensuring patient and employee safety, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting CRNAs during cases requiring anesthesia involvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Illinois RN License in good standing
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
