Project Manager & EstimatorA creative design/build firm specializing in custom signage, exhibits, and wayfinding systems is seeking an experienced Project Manager & Estimator. The company works with a range of private and public clients across the U.S., managing projects from concept through fabrication and installation. The ideal candidate will have a background in fabrication or construction, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.Position OverviewThe Project Manager & Estimator plays a key role in overseeing multiple fabrication projects, coordinating teams, managing client communications, and developing cost estimates for bids. This position combines leadership, organization, and hands-on collaboration to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standards.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary of $55,000–$65,000Performance-based bonusesPaid time off and nine paid holidays each yearHealth insurance available after 90 days of employment401(k) with company contribution and profit-sharing plan after one yearSupportive, team-oriented work environment with opportunities for growthKey Responsibilities Project ManagementOversee projects from design approval through fabrication, shipping, and installation.Develop and manage project schedules; coordinate workloads and lead times between departments and vendors.Communicate with clients, designers, and fabricators to ensure clarity and progress across all project phases.Track materials, parts, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate installation logistics including tools, lodging, and shipping arrangements.Maintain detailed records, documentation, and schedules for each project.Support the team in problem-solving and decision-making to meet deadlines and quality standards.Cost EstimatingDevelop detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, vendor quotes, and labor projections.Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategies, markups, and bids.Maintain vendor relationships and stay updated on current pricing and material availability.Transition winning estimates into organized project budgets and manage expenses through completion.Team CoordinationMotivate and support cross-functional teams including designers, fabricators, and installers.Communicate frequently and transparently about changing priorities or challenges.Identify process improvements to reduce errors and improve workflow efficiency.Assist in training or mentoring team members as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in construction management, industrial design, or a related field preferred.3+ years of experience in project management, cost estimating, or fabrication.Strong understanding of construction and manufacturing processes.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Proficient in spreadsheet management and schedule tracking.Comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities.Willingness to travel 2–6 times per year for installations.A collaborative, flexible, and detail-oriented attitude.Work EnvironmentFast-paced, creative, and team-oriented setting where collaboration and adaptability are essential.Mix of office and hands-on shop oversight, walking between departments to ensure quality and progress.Open communication culture that values input, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving.Occasional travel to project sites for installations and client coordination.Job Type: Full-time401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insurance
