Compensation range: $30.82 - $41.61

Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience

Position Summary

The Maintenance Worker – Drywaller/Painter works under the direction of the Project Coordinator. The Maintenance Worker Drywaller/Painter is responsible for the painting of the building and equipment. They also must be able to perform all tasks necessary to prepare surfaces, tape, and finish drywall at a level 5 smooth, uniform finish. The Maintenance Worker – Drywaller/Painter assists the Project Coordinator in scheduling and planning of building repairs and projects. The special nature of this position may require working any shift any day of the week and holidays.

Education / Training / Experience

Minimum:

One year experience as a journeyman drywaller/painter

Desired:

Two years experience with hospital facility painting

Licenses / Certifications

Minimum:

Current California Driver's License

Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center's Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)

Desired:

Certification in building trades or hospital maintenance experience

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The Maintenance Worker – Drywaller/Painter must be able to accurately estimate materials needed to complete a repair or project. Must have experience with painting and paper hanging techniques as well as surface repair and preparation. Must have knowledge of basic maintenance techniques. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
