Care Coordinator

About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Coordinator to help remove barriers to healthcare, ensuring patients can access, afford, and remain on the life-changing therapies they need. In this fully remote role, you will help streamline patient onboarding, qualification, and adherence while delivering an empathetic and supportive customer experience. Key Responsibilities Handle inbound and outbound calls, aiming for one-call resolution while identifying patient needs. Investigate and resolve patient and physician inquiries in a timely, compassionate manner. Process new applicants by interacting with patient referral sources and stewarding accounts from initial contact through final approval or denial. Create and complete accurate referrals and applications, keeping up to date on policy or procedural changes. Enter detailed information into proprietary software while conversing over the phone. Report adverse events accurately and within required timeframes. Prioritize multiple assignments and work independently with a sense of urgency. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (1–3 years in a related field preferred). Previous customer service or call center experience preferred. Clear knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payer policies/guidelines for coverage preferred. Understanding of Medical, Supplemental, and pharmacy insurance benefit practices. Excellent written and oral communication, problem-solving, and mediation skills. strong people skills demonstrating flexibility, empathy, persistence, and trust. Robust computer literacy, including high data-entry proficiency and experience with MS Office. Ability to work independently, resolve complex problems, and potentially provide guidance to less experienced team members. Work Schedule & Training Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week). Business Hours: Must have the flexibility to work any shift Monday–Friday between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM CST. Training: New hire training will take place 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST (mandatory on-camera attendance is required).
