Requirements for success:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Previous experience working with students who have a range of learning, emotional, or physical disabilities
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability and patience to respond to the diverse needs of students

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s needs
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom atmosphere conducive to learning for all students
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Develop and maintain IEP documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to set and achieve educational goals
• Engage parents and guardians by providing regular updates on student progress
