Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a supportive educational team in Denver, Colorado on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative school environment.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, compassionate, and committed to helping students reach their academic and personal goals through individualized instruction and support.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Modify curriculum and classroom strategies to support student success
Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
Active Colorado Special Education Teaching License (or ability to obtain)
Previous school-based or special education experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
