Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information The position is located in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) with the following features: Number of Beds: 26 Number of Staff: 15 Staff Type: Day Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech Night Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech Patient Ratios: 1:2 Type of Equipment: Balloon pumps, CRRT, Hypothermia equipment Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech Qualifications Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Meditech Experience traveling to large facility ICU units Key Responsibilities Typical procedures performed in the unit include: Heart catheterization Management of balloon pumps Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Hypothermia treatment Cardioversion Insertion and management of central lines Administration of medication drips Personality Fit The ideal candidate will possess the following traits: Driven and detail-oriented Organized and efficient Positive attitude and engagement in their work Additional Information This is a competitive opportunity that may offer advanced equipment and technology, as well as a supportive team comprised of experienced staff.
