Availability- 24-hour shifts
- Ongoing hospitalist coverage opportunity
- OB Hospitalist coverage
- Program established May 8, 2023
- Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care recognition
- In-house anesthesia available
- Backup support available to hospitalists
- Family Medicine residency program onsite
- Labor and delivery management
- First assist responsibilities required
- Backup coverage for midwives
- Backup coverage for Family Practice providers
- Management of high-risk obstetric patients
- Possible GYN coverage - TBD
- Level III NICU (26 weeks and up)
- Average monthly hospital deliveries: 165
- Average monthly hospitalist deliveries: 7
- Average monthly hospitalist encounters: 86
- Approximately 42.3% high-risk diagnosis encounters
- MFM support available via call consult
- In-house anesthesia coverage
- Additional backup available to hospitalists
- Family Medicine residency onsite
- Experienced OB/GYN physician comfortable with hospitalist coverage
- Comfortable functioning as first assist
- Experienced managing high-risk obstetrics
- Team-oriented provider comfortable collaborating with residency program and multidisciplinary teams
