MULTIMEDIA SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Johnstonian News is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Multimedia Sales Representative to help Johnston County businesses grow through effective print and digital advertising.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Multimedia Sales Representative, you will develop new business, manage relationships with existing advertisers and create customized marketing campaigns using our full portfolio of advertising products.

Our solutions include print advertising, digital advertising, social media, video, special publications, email marketing and event sponsorships. You will work directly with local business owners and decision-makers to understand their goals and recommend advertising strategies designed to deliver meaningful results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and develop new advertising clients throughout Johnston County.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
• Meet with business owners and decision-makers to assess their marketing needs, goals and budgets.
• Develop customized multimedia advertising proposals and campaigns.
• Present and sell print, digital, social media, video, email marketing and event sponsorship opportunities.
• Prepare professional and persuasive sales presentations.
• Work with our creative team to develop advertising campaigns that support each client’s objectives.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide clients with updates and recommendations.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and accurate client records.
• Stay informed about local businesses, market conditions, industry trends and competing advertising options.
• Consistently work toward individual sales goals and company revenue objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous sales experience is preferred, particularly in advertising, media, marketing or business-to-business sales.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• A professional, confident and customer-focused approach.
• Excellent relationship-building and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with Johnston County and its business community is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license is required for local client meetings.

WORK LOCATION

This is an in-person position serving businesses throughout Johnston County, North Carolina.
