Position Travel Nurse RN Float – Pediatric Med Surg Job Details Specialty: Pediatric Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 3x12 hour night shift, 19:00-07:30 Employment Type: Travel Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey Schedule The position requires a 3×12-hour night shift (19:00–07:30) with every other weekend off. Assignment 13-week contract. Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care across a float pool covering pediatric units including Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (no chemotherapy/infusions), pediatrics, adolescents, newborn nursery, and Special Care Nursery. Additional assignments may include Med/Surg, PICU, NICU, and Pediatric Emergency Department. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients across various units. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. Float between departments based on needs and patient acuity. Qualifications Minimum of 1.5 years of recent nursing experience in pediatric care. Active NJ or Compact RN License required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; APHON preferred. Experience with IV pumps, pulse oximeters, and cardiac monitoring necessary.
