Senior Director Supply Chain

Job Summary

The Sr. Director, Supply Chain is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain operations, from raw material procurement through to delivery of finished products. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company-wide objectives. As a senior member of the leadership team, the Sr. Director will collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and other departments to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and supply chain excellence.

Strategic Accountabilities:

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership

· Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives and operational priorities.

· Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

· Provide executive oversight of inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize waste, and improve working capital.

Procurement & Vendor Management

· Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring high-quality materials and reliable delivery.

· Lead contract negotiations and supplier agreements to secure favorable terms while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

· Continuously assess supplier performance and implement improvement plans to maintain supply continuity and mitigate risk.

Logistics & Distribution

· Oversee the transportation and distribution of finished goods, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery to customers.

· Optimize the supply chain network for reduced lead times, transportation costs, and environmental impact.

· Establish and monitor KPIs for logistics performance, driving efficiency and reliability.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

· Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including cGMP, FDA regulations, and other industry standards relevant to pharmaceutical packaging.

· Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain compliance, product integrity, and safety throughout the supply chain.

Data Analytics & Reporting

· Leverage data analytics to monitor supply chain performance, identify trends, and drive evidence-based decision-making.

· Provide regular updates and actionable insights to the executive leadership team regarding operational performance, risks, and opportunities.

Cost Management & Operational Efficiency

· Drive cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, process improvement, and lean supply chain principles.

· Monitor budget performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising quality or service.

Risk Management & Crisis Response

· Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions such as material shortages, logistics delays, or regulatory changes.

· Proactively identify risks across the supply chain and deploy mitigation strategies to ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing.

· In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging, cGMP regulations, and supply chain best practices.

· Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex supply chain projects.

· Strong analytical skills and experience driving performance through metrics and data insights.

· Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-stakes initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
