Location: ClarkLindsey - Urbana, IL Setting: Continuing Care Retirement Community; skilled nursing, memory care, assisted living Schedule: Full time; Monday - Friday mostly, some weekends required Requirement: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification Salary Range: $75k - $80k Other Forms of Compensation: Relocation Assistance offered!! Come and join our award-winning team! Job Summary We are seeking a leader with healthcare experience in senior living, with a strong focus on skilled nursing, assisted living (AL), and memory care. This role is responsible for ensuring meals are delivered on time, meet all dietary requirements, and are served at the proper temperature. The position partners closely with the Director of Nursing and their team to enhance the overall dining experience and quickly address any resident or family concerns. This individual will lead and develop a team by setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and building engagement. While culinary experience is not required, it is a plus. Financial responsibilities are minimal and managed by the General Manager; however, strong communication and collaboration with the General Manager and Executive Chef are critical to success in this role. What You'll Do: Resident Nutrition Care: Conduct nutrition screenings, implement individualized care plans, and monitor residents’ progress in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian Menu Planning & Dining Experience: Partner with the dining team to plan resident-centered menus and ensure high-quality, enjoyable meal service that meets both clinical and personal preferences Team Leadership & Staff Development: Supervise, train, and motivate dining services staff to deliver excellence while maintaining compliance with food safety and regulatory standards Quality & Satisfaction Initiatives: Lead or participate in quality improvement efforts that enhance resident satisfaction, streamline operations, and improve clinical outcomes Regulatory Compliance: Ensure ongoing adherence to HIPAA, federal and state regulations, and facility policies related to nutrition care and foodservice operations What We're Looking For: Associate or bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field Credentialed as a CDM or eligible Experience in senior living, healthcare foodservice, or supervisory roles a strong plus ServSafe® certification (or willing to obtain) Comfortable with Microsoft Office, EMRs, nutrient analysis, and diet office systems Why You’ll Love Working Here: You’ll be part of an environment where your ideas are welcomed, and your growth is encouraged You’ll have access to ongoing education, resources, development programs, and advancement opportunities to support your career path You’ll work with a team that values collaboration, communication, and continual learning Apply to Unidine today!
