Pediatric Dental Assistant West Coast Dental

West Coast Dental is seeking compassionate and energetic Pediatric Dental Assistants to support dentists in delivering high-quality care to children in a friendly, fast-paced environment. The role focuses on both clinical support and patient interaction, especially with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures (4-handed dentistry)
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patients
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols
• Help manage patient flow and create a positive, child-friendly environment

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certification
• Experience in a pediatric dental setting (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with children and families
• Team-oriented with good organizational and multitasking skills
