Created by the WA State Legislature, the offers affordable long-term care insurance coverage to all working Washingtonians. DSHS's Home & Community Living Administration (HCLA) WCF is hiring a key team member now to assist as we move toward the full implementation of the program. The innovative work that you do now will aid qualified people and their authorized representatives to apply for and access their earned benefits that help pay for daily-living activities. Join our team as an Office Manager in Tumwater, Washington. In this role, you will report to the Benefits & Customer Care (BCC) Field Operations Manager and serve as the Benefit & Customer Care team's Office Manager for the WA Cares Fund Division within HCLA. The position provides support services for BCC operations, business requirements and services, management functions, coordination of facilities, workstation set-up and/or modification telecommunication services, wireless device services, inventory management, purchase requests and coordination of vehicle reservations.
This position works collaboratively with the Benefits & Customer Care Administrator, and Deputy Administrator, Field Operations Manager and WA Cares regional Office Management staff to develop and improve programs, facility needs, and administrative functions for efficiency.

Some of what you will do :
- Effectively plans and organizes the utilization of office space for BCC staff; coordinates with regional partners to ensure BCC staff have needed access to facilities
- Assists with coordination of equipment and office space needs for the WA Cares Imaging Unit, including assisting with coordination of any potential change of location
- Coordinates with regional partners to secure regional WA Cares Motor Pool vehicles for BCC when needed; Coordinates with BCC staff on statewide travel needs
- Coordinates and assists with the telecommunication needs of employees who utilize cell phones and landlines, which includes performing minor telephone system changes, troubleshooting with technicians and headquarters staff
- Plans and organizes the correct time to order supplies to ensure adequate supplies are on hand
- Prepare, review, and process Purchase Requests ensuring receipt of goods and services prior to payment by Consolidated Business Services (CBS)
- Plan and organize the timely completion of requests to ensure new and existing WA Cares Fund employees are set up to have proper building access, badge, furniture, phone, voicemail, cell phone, equipment and SCAN number upon first day reporting for work
- Responsible for ensuring all records are archived in accordance with the retention policies and schedules
- Provides administrative guidance and support for BCC Language Access, including acting as the BCC contact for document translation
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or allied field
- Two years' of experience in-office in office or business management, or administrative analysis, or closely related work; additional qualifying experience may be substituted year-for-year for education
- One year in state service as an Administrative Assistant 2 or equivalent or two years' as an Administrative Assistant 1 or equivalent involving supervisory or office management responsibility
- Six years' of professional/practical experience performing demonstrated office or business management, management or administrative analysis in addition to supervising professional staff
