Part-time/Per Diem Special Education Nurse, Lowell

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Lowell, MA who is currently seeking Float Nurse to work with students on a contractual basis.

Details of the Position Include:

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 25/26 school year

Schedule: Monday- Friday 32.5 Hours

Requirements:

• MA RN/LPN License

• Pediatrics Experience

• Comfortability covering1:1 and/or general school nursing call-outs

• Special Education Nursing experience required.

Description: 1:1 RN or LPN to work as a float and/or per diem nurse for the district. Needs to be available at least 2 days a week consistently.

Pay:

• LPN: $47/ hour

• RN: $53/hr

The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited registered, practical or vocational nursing program

• Licensed as a Licensed Practical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing

• One year of professional experience, preferred

• Current CPR

• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
