Job Description

Job Summary:

The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting during surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and supporting surgical teams. They ensure a sterile environment and help facilitate smooth surgical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
  
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, holding tissues, and managing supplies during procedures.
  
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures to prevent infections.
  
• Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment, including DaVinci systems, to ensure proper functionality.
  
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to coordinate patient care and surgical workflow.
  
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards at all times.
  Qualifications:
  
• Possess current certification as a Surgical Technician with travel experience in a clinical setting.
  
• Have previous orthopedic and scrubbing experience in surgical environments.
  
• Demonstrate proficiency with DaVinci robotic systems and maintaining sterile technique.
  
• Hold active BLS certification and a completed Surgical Tech program or equivalent experience.
  
• Be capable of working weekends, call shifts, and holidays as required, arriving within 30 minutes of call notification.
