Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward.THE ROLEThis role helps shape the future of AMD's Adaptive Computing portfolio through product planning, strategy, and roadmap development for next-generation FPGA and Adaptive SoC platforms.Working across product planning, architecture, engineering, marketing, and applications teams, you will translate customer needs, market opportunities, and technology trends into product requirements, roadmap decisions, and future product capabilities.THE PERSONA successful candidate can independently drive strategic and technical decisions while delivering results that have a meaningful impact on product success.The ideal candidate combines strong FPGA and adaptive computing expertise with business acumen, customer awareness, and market insight. They are comfortable working across engineering and business teams, influencing stakeholders, and bringing clarity to ambiguous situations to help define future AMD products and roadmap direction.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive product planning and strategy for next-generation FPGA and Adaptive SoC product familiesDrive planning activities for future devices and product families, including prioritization, customer validation, and communication of roadmap direction across the organizationPartner with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain product plans from concept through production, working across product planning, architecture, engineering, marketing, and applications teamsGather customer, market, and business requirements and translate them into comprehensive product requirements and product definitionsContribute to product strategy, business cases, and investment decisions through understanding and interpreting market, customer, and competitive analysisRepresent Product Planning in planning forums, product reviews, and cross-functional decision-making processesWork closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are reflected in product roadmaps and product definitionsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Relevant hardware design, product planning/management, technical marketing, applications engineering, or customer-facing experienceSemiconductor industry experience involving FPGA, Adaptive SoC, ASIC, ASSP, or processor-based productsStrong understanding of FPGA architectures, FPGA development methodologies, and adaptive computing solutionsExperience defining products, roadmaps, or product requirements for semiconductor devices or systemsExperience engaging directly with customers and translating customer requirements into product capabilitiesExperience working across architecture, engineering, marketing, and business teams in a semiconductor environmentUnderstanding of product lifecycle management, product positioning, roadmap planning, and investment prioritizationDemonstrated strategic business acumen with the ability to build compelling business cases, contribute to financial models, and justify investment decisionsExperience in application domains such as communications, aerospace and defense, industrial, automotive, data center, embedded, or AI acceleration is a plusACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.#LI-DR2#LI-HybridBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
