About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector A to join our quality team in Cambridge, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting materials, components, assemblies, and systems to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to identify issues, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high product quality.

What You'll Do

• Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, workmanship, and basic electrical inspections.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, diagrams, and manufacturing documentation.
• Evaluate materials and components to determine acceptance or rejection based on established quality standards.
• Generate, update, and maintain inspection procedures, workflows, and related documentation.
• Perform source inspections at supplier and off-site facilities as required.
• Identify quality concerns, process bottlenecks, and non-conformances, and support corrective actions.
• Document inspection results and prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, security, and housekeeping standards.
• Support the onboarding and training of new team members and mentor junior inspectors.
• Work independently to prioritize assignments and meet project deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing inspection, or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Experience performing visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, electronics, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of inspection methodologies, quality systems, and documentation practices.
• Experience creating or revising inspection procedures and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with measurement and inspection tools and equipment.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and support continuous improvement initiatives.
