Location:

Paramus, New Jersey - This is a full-time, 100% on-site position offering hands-on collaboration with an experienced litigation team and regular exposure to courts throughout Northern New Jersey.

Note:

Applicants must be admitted to practice law in New Jersey and have at least 1 year of personal injury litigation experience. Candidates with law firm or in-house legal experience are encouraged to apply. Solo practice backgrounds will be considered but are less preferred.

Job Description

• Assist an experienced partner through all phases of personal injury litigation.
• Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery.
• Prepare substantive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Attend and conduct depositions.
• Argue motions before the court.
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Assist with trial preparation and gain valuable courtroom experience.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and expert witnesses.
• Help manage an active caseload involving motor vehicle accidents and premises liability matters.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Bar license.
• 1+ years of personal injury litigation experience on either the plaintiff or defense side.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable working closely with a supervising partner.
• Ability to travel to courthouses throughout Northern New Jersey.
• Experience drafting discovery and motions preferred.
• Deposition and trial experience preferred.
