Special Education Teacher | Anoka, Minnesota | $50–$55/Hour

You’ll provide specialized instruction that helps students with diverse learning needs make progress toward their academic, behavioral, and individualized education goals. You’ll take ownership of instruction, classroom supports, and behavior planning while working with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to give students the support they need to succeed.

• On-site school setting
• Caseload of approximately 8–10 students, depending on location

What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized instruction in center-based special education classrooms
• Develop and adapt curriculum to individual learning needs
• Differentiate instruction and respond to student behaviors
• Establish and implement classroom behavior expectations and plans
• Collaborate with parents, related service providers, and paraprofessionals
• Direct and support paraprofessionals working with students
• Complete required special education documentation using SpEd Forms
• Support students in reaching academic, behavioral, and individualized education goals

What You’ll Need

• Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota Special Education teaching license

Preferred

• Experience in a center-based special education setting
