The director will lead, motivate, and supervise the nursing staff while focusing on achieving quality improvement goals and maintaining a patient-centered culture.Special Skills:Ability to handle a high-stress environment.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Drive for continuous improvement in patient care.Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of the Critical Care Unit, ensuring quality patient care while meeting all staffing requirements and internal/external standards.Manage staffing functions, including compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.Ensure continuous patient care improvement through leadership and active involvement in quality initiatives.Report to the Chief Nursing Officer.Education:Required: Associate's degree in Nursing.Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (must be obtained within two years of hire or transfer).Experience:Required:Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a Critical Care Unit.Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in an acute or critical care setting.Preferred: Proven ability to manage high-stress environments and effectively communicate with patients and staff.Certifications:Required:Current NC or Multistate RN license.BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required or to be obtained within the first week of hire.ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required.
