Position Details

· Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week

· Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

· Pay Range: $18.50–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience

· Benefits: Vacation pay available after 90 days of employment

Job Summary

Avid Signs Plus is seeking a talented, dependable, and versatile Graphic Designer / Production & Installation Specialist to join our team. This position combines creative design, customer service, sign production, and on-site installation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working with customers, and is comfortable transitioning between office design work, shop production, and field installations.

Key Responsibilities

· Meet with customers to discuss project goals, gather design requirements, and recommend sign solutions.

· Design custom signs, graphics, banners, vehicle graphics, and other visual products using industry-standard design software.

· Prepare production-ready artwork and ensure files meet manufacturing specifications.

· Manufacture and assemble signs using a variety of materials, including Polymetal, Coroplast, PVC, ACM, aluminum, vinyl, and other sign substrates.

· Operate production equipment such as vinyl cutters, laminators, printers, and related shop equipment.

· Apply vinyl graphics, laminate prints, and assemble finished signage.

· Perform professional installation of interior and exterior signs, dimensional letters, window graphics, vehicle graphics, banners, and other signage.

· Read measurements accurately and ensure proper placement and installation of products.

· Maintain quality standards throughout design, production, and installation.

· Communicate effectively with customers regarding project timelines, approvals, and installation scheduling.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Assist with inventory management and general shop duties as needed.

· Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines and customer expectations.

Qualifications

· Experience in graphic design, preferably within the sign industry.

· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.

· Knowledge of sign materials, including Polymetal, Coroplast, vinyl, PVC, and aluminum composites.

· Experience with sign fabrication and production processes.

· Ability to install a variety of sign types safely and professionally.

· Strong customer service and communication skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.

· Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with large-format printing equipment and vinyl application.

· Knowledge of sign permitting and installation best practices.

· Experience operating lifts, ladders, or installation equipment.
