Life Enrichment Assistant

Mount Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Manchester, NH is looking for a full-time Life Enrichment Aide to join our team, including every other weekend, required).

• Every other weekend is required
• Weekend hours are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Occasional special events may require evening hours, typically 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Evening events may include:
  • Holiday celebrations such as the Christmas Party
  • Resident outings and special community trips

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Life Enrichment Aide to join our team. As a Life Enrichment Aide, you will be responsible for providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and a desire to enhance their quality of life.

Assist in activities, that are, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. These programs are in accordance with long-term care residents' assessment and care plan. Mount Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Manchester, NH is a 120-bed facility offering short and long-term care in a warm and supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. Job Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement daily activities for residents
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents and their families
• Create and distribute monthly activity calendars
• Set up and clean up activity areas
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are available for activities
• Provide one‑on‑one interaction with residents who require special attention
• Encourage participation in activities and eventsParticipate in care plan meetings
• Maintain accurate and complete records of resident participation in activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with seniors or in a long-term care setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
