NMLS Licensing Specialist (Remote- PST Hours)

A mortgage company is looking for a Licensing Specialist to join their team!

This role is responsible for coordinating the onboarding of Loan Officers and guiding them through the NMLS license transfer process with clarity, responsiveness, and attention to detail. The position supports the acquisition of new branch licenses across all 50 states by navigating the NMLS system and validating licensing status to ensure full compliance, including determining eligibility for loan origination activities within Cornerstone. The individual will maintain a strong understanding of NMLS licensing requirements and mortgage compliance standards while facilitating cross-functional communication between onboarding, licensing, and production teams to ensure alignment. Additionally, this role manages and continuously refines the internal CRM pipeline to drive efficiency and accuracy, while conducting regular internal audits to ensure NMLS compliance standards are upheld across all internal mortgage platforms and systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience managing the NMLS licensing process, including LO license transfers and branch licensing
Proven experience working within the NMLS system (filings, renewals, updates, and status tracking)
Solid understanding of mortgage compliance and state-by-state licensing requirements
Experience validating licensing eligibility for loan origination activities
Ability to navigate multi-state licensing requirements (all 50 states preferred)
