Building Maintenance Worker (Entry Level)

Organization Thompson Seattle Summary General Maintenance Worker will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of house areas. Guest room and public area entry‑level preventative maintenance are included. A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills. Hourly Role The hourly rate for this position starts at $29.48 with an increase to $29.98 after 90 days. Hourly Role with Five‑Year Rates The hourly starting rate for this position is $29.48 with an increase to $29.98 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for five years, which is an additional $0.50. Hourly Role with Seven‑Year Rates The hourly starting rate for this position is $29.48 with an increase to $29.98 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for seven years, which is an additional $0.75. Hourly Role with Ten‑Year Rates The hourly starting rate for this position is $29.48 with an increase to $29.98 after 90 days. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for ten years, which is an additional $1.00. Core Qualifications Public area and guest room preventative maintenance. Guest relations skills. Perform all tasks in compliance with security policies and Hyatt Standards. Organize the engineering workshop and parts inventory. Responsible for engineering shift coverage. Candidate will maintain building and equipment. Replacing the guest room AC fan motor and clean filter. Monitoring fire alarm system status. Basic troubleshooting skills required (electricity, plumbing, touch up painting etc.). Maintain all facility repairs and work orders. Conduct all preventive maintenance checks in coordination with DOE. Ensure interior and exterior landscaping irrigation is in good condition.
