F-35 Network Engineer | Active Secret clearance

This role supports the F‑35 LightningII Program, the Department of Defense’s flagship next‑generation aircraft. Responsibilities Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions to complex network problems. Maintain and upgrade networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Assist with network solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud services. Keep abreast of and apply new network technologies such as routing, switching, and Azure cloud. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations. Review network logs, backup configurations, and recover devices as needed. Utilize Cisco ISE, Cisco Unified Call Manager, and SolarWinds. Ensure compliance with network directives, policies, and STIGs. Apply network patches, updates, and DoD STIGs to firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs. Collaborate with project managers on rapidly deployed network projects. Maintain strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical teams. Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry best practices. Coach and guide less‑experienced networking professionals. Occasional travel may be required in response to network outages. Qualifications Active Secret clearance (must currently possess and be able to obtain). 5 years of experience in enterprise LAN/MAN/WAN environments. 5 years of concurrent network administration and analysis experience. Experience with complex network administration, maintenance, and system implementation. Experience maintaining network system documentation and ensuring integrity and security. Experience evaluating vendor products, making hardware and software purchase recommendations, and coordinating installation. Experience developing and monitoring policies and standards for computing resources. Experience implementing testing strategies and documenting results. Required certifications: CCNA or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional). Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related IT discipline. Alternative qualifications: 6 years additional work experience without a degree or 2 years additional experience with an AS/AA degree. Travel: occasional travel may be required in response to network outages. Location: Onsite at Edwards AFB or China Lake, CA. US citizenship required.
