Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill two (2) Mental Health Specialist or Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist  positions. These are full-time, 40 hour/week positions in the Intake Program in Gardner's Behavioral Health Department. These positions are based out of the Corporate Offices located at 160 E Virginia St, San Jose, CA 95112. Under the general supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Mental Health Specialist/Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHS/MHRS) in the Intake Program is responsible for providing timely, client-centered intake services for individuals seeking Specialty Behavioral Health (SBH) services. This position serves as the primary entry point into care, engaging referrals, conducting comprehensive intake assessments, and coordinating appropriate service linkage. The MHS/MHRS works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely access to care, continuity of services, and a welcoming, culturally responsive experience for all clients, particularly those from underserved communities.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

MHS-  BA degree and at least three (3) years of experience and/or AA degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience.

MHRS-  BA degree plus four (4) years relevant experience and/or AA degree plus six (6) years’ experience and obtain a mental health rehabilitation specialist counselor certification from the County of Santa Clara.

Compensation:

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.

MHS/MHRS: $69,539.18 - $80,614.97/Annually
