Staff Full Stack Software Engineer - Fintech Startup

Salary: $250,000 - 250,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing full-stack web applications with Python, React, and TypeScript; additional experience is preferred.
• Ability to thrive on a small team and work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment, including rapid prototyping.
• Proficiency in API integration and front-end data visualization.
• Extensive experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Git version control.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Experience with financial systems and accounting.
• Preferred: Strong front-end skills, product and design sensibility, and attention to UI/UX polish.

• Lead development of core applications, reporting to the CTO, using Python and React; the roles backend-to-frontend balance can range from 70% in either direction based on preference.
• Design and build robust, production-ready full-stack applications that make complex data accessible through enterprise-class software.
• Architect and implement scalable backend services and APIs that support front-end applications.
• Optimize database performance, maintain data integrity, and manage relational database schemas.
• Collaborate with the engineering team, cross-functional partners, and external partners to refine technical requirements, prototype features, and assess feasibility.
• Develop technology that addresses customers financial challenges.
• Help ensure application security and data privacy by applying best practices and meeting regulatory requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to improve team processes.
