Data Engineer
Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Strategy team supporting the development of a strategic data platform for their Capital Markets and Securities groups. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay Range: $55/hour on W2
What's the Job?
- Design and develop scalable data solutions on cloud platforms, primarily Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish reference data systems for securities and pricing data.
- Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Develop APIs and integrate various data sources to support business needs.
- Contribute to the ongoing modernization of the organization's data infrastructure and strategy.
What's Needed?
- Extensive experience as a Data Engineer with proficiency in Azure cloud services.
- Strong skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL, with experience in API development using frameworks like FastAPI.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Lake Gen 2, Azure Databricks, and related Azure data services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of financial instruments, market data, and experience in financial services is a plus.
