AR Specialist

Job Summary: The A/R Specialist will be responsible for managing insurance collections, interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), processing appeals and reconsiderations, and verifying patient balances for accuracy. This role also includes handling incoming calls from insurance companies. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the revenue cycle. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience Minimum of 2 years insurance A/R experience Certification/Licensure: None Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Job Duties Include: Working all deniedCOMMERCIALinsurance claims over 14 days EXCLUDING Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) Appeals, reconsiderations, and insurance overpayment. Compensation. Work all denied claims and any appeals. Check Status of Claims. Use all measures available to check status of claims. Form Completion. Complete and process any paperwork. Follow-up: Checking status of non-payment claims over 30 days old. Correcting errors and re-billing claims,as needed. Be available for additional questions and queries from other TEAM members. Qualifications: Extraordinary Customer Service and Team Member Relations – REQUIRED! Must have minimum 2 years BCBS A/R Experience currently. Must have minimum 2 years medical office experience currently.
