Chief Financial Officer

Job Description The CFO reports to the CEO and is responsible for managing multiple company’s financial strategy and budgets. Work with CEO to strategically grow current companies and acquire new companies in line with the overall vision. Drive profitability and evaluate risk. Responsibilities Prepare / Review reports and forecast for 3 related companies in the construction industry. Experience with completed contract accounting. Combined annual revenue of 3 companies - $220 million. Create and implement financial process and procedure. Set up accounting systems for new and existing companies. Review and manage insurance coverage. Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position. Manage the company’s cash flow on a daily basis. Advise management on desirability of financing options and timing of capital acquisitions. Review and manage insurance coverage for protection against potential liabilities. Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to changes in business environment. Monitor all banking activities; arrange financing, insurance and bonding commitments. Establish best accounting practices according to GAAP and tax law. Manage tax compliance for various states, local and federal taxes including sales and use tax, property, payroll and income taxes. Review budgets. Arrange for annual audits, reviews and income tax filings. Prepare monthly WIP’s and % complete schedules. Coordinate multi-company close, consolidations, account reconciliations and year end closing process. Supervise the accounting team including AP/AR/HR and Payroll. Ensure accuracy and efficiency of the accounting systems while properly managing transactions and financial reporting. Hire and train accounting staff as needed. Oversee tax returns and CPA for all 3 companies. Review and approve timely AP payments, monitor and ensure accounts receivables are collected promptly, and Payroll is processed in a timely manner. Oversee 401K program. Assist with underwriting new company acquisitions and exists for existing companies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
