Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Home Health for a temporary assignment in Lewiston, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Job Title: Home Health

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3

Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension

Pay Rate: $54 - $58/hr

Responsibilities for a Home Health:

Partner with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment

Provide direct and indirect patient care to residents and patients

Utilize verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, particularly when working with Alzheimer's/dementia residents

Understand and manage difficult behaviors associated with Alzheimer's/dementia residents, recognizing these behaviors as valid forms of communication

Provide skilled nursing care including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management

Support patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short-term illnesses or injuries with a rehabilitation approach

Maintain valid State of Maine or compact RN license

Apply medical terminology and strong communication skills in daily practice

Work effectively within a team of care providers

Maintain flexibility to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days per week

Float to other units as needed
