Data Center Sales Leader - West

Position Overview The Sales Leader – Data Center Solutions is a pivotal role within Trane Technologies, responsible for leading a team of sales professionals to achieve annual profit, volume, and margin targets by developing and executing sales strategies, fostering long‑term customer relationships, and driving account teaming. This role focuses on business sold primarily through Equipment revenue streams while collaborating with colleagues in Service, Digital, Controls, and Energy Services streams. The sales leader will develop and maintain long‑term customer relationships, maximize account penetration, and retain owners, contractors/developers, and consulting engineers. Key Responsibilities Lead and coach account managers to achieve sales performance targets. Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities and effective management of leads from initial contact through to closing. Manage ongoing performance by monitoring and coaching account managers’ effectiveness in project attainment, customer service, relationship development, and profitability. Ensure client satisfaction by investigating concerns and implementing corrective action. Collaborate with marketing, product development, and regional leadership to align strategies and resources. Develop accurate sales forecasts and projections, monitoring performance against targets and adjusting strategies as necessary. Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management with achievements, challenges, and recommendations. Achieve annual objectives regarding profit, volume, margins, business mix, and market share. Conduct financial analysis and manage account assignments, ensuring consistent application of Trane sales tools and processes. Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within the Data Center industry. Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Compensation Annual Base Salary Range: $232,750.00 – $336,420.00 Compensation Type: Salary Incentive Eligible: Yes Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer: Compensation will reflect seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. The range is based on the national average and may vary by region.
