Administrator Buyer

Position Summary The Administrator is responsible for purchasing all items for the associated site, processing month-end invoices, accounts payable, reconciling invoices, running various reports, and administering the inventory management system. This position is also responsible for maintaining the customer specified database with up to date SDS's that meet all OSHA, plant, and corporate guidelines.

Travel: Minimal local travel during working hours may be required during the workday. Responsibilities/Duties:
- Ensures all new submission for products are entered into the system for corporate and plant approval
- Audits departments to ensure compliance with customer guidelines
- Interacts with people performing approval submissions to ensure all documents meet OSHA, corporate, and plant guidelines
- Maintains plant internal listing of approved products
- Ensures all new information is released that all affected products are noted and the information is provided to the appropriate personnel
- Manages many searches for various plant personnel in the database
- Assists in troubleshooting efforts
- First point of contact for corporate related items regarding products and/or related items
- Works with HSE Departments to ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards
- May perform tasks related to HSE services outside of the SDS immediate realm of responsibility
- Enters physical inventory as required (weekly monthly, daily)
- Maintains accurate pricing, inventory and usage data in MAS 200 software
- Enter purchase orders, sales orders, and transfers in MAS 200. Files and sends copies of all invoices to corporate
- Work with sales reps to purchase materials for customers
- Does Mid/End Month Reconciliations. Provides usage reports for site
- Performs other duties and assignments as required
- Handles New Product quotations for replacement, price changes, and project requests
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Sage MAS software experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and use of internet.
- Familiarity with software applications.
- Some knowledge of chemistry is helpful.
- Ability to maintain high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.
- Ability to perform complex math computation including unit of measure conversions.
- Ability to manipulate necessary office equipment, computers, and peripherals.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and exposure to computer screens as well as use of telephone.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills including prompt problem identification and resolution.
- Good phone and interpersonal skills
- Works effectively with all levels of the internal/external management, personnel, customers, and suppliers
- Relevant OSHA, EPA, and NIOSH experience is helpful
- 0-2 years of technical experience in industrial manufacturing or technical environment preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer proficient with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and the internet required
- Familiarity with other software applications
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of computer
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and walk within very large industrial environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
